Type Journal - Helvetica Bold

This was a photo I took a few weeks back in one of the 'Baa Bar's' chain. Upon entry I noticed straight away that the feel of the bar was very contemporary, and very design influenced. Minimalist 2D illustrations cover the walls, and more importantly Helvetica Bold is fluent throughout the interior. Leaflets, drinks menus, signs, on-screen graphics etc. utilise this legendary Typeface. One thing that I've noticed recently though is that Helvetica doesn't do all the work for you, and there's times when that's obvious enough. Careful attention has to be paid to things like kerning, leading, colour, grid systems etc. However neutral this Typeface may be, it has to be complemented with a sophisticated amount of attention to detail.
